Let's do some fun stuff today....

Open notepad dump the following lines into it and save it with the name OEMINFO.INI in the C:\windows\system32 directory:

1. Save the file.

2. Then make a right click on my computer select properties, in the general tab a button will be highlighted(support information) make a click on it, you will be able to see the changes.

3. Now if you want to display some more information then simply increase the line in the file.

For this you can use the ping utility to determine the real ip of the web site. Before using this utility, make sure you are not mapping a host name to some ip address with Host Name commander, because if you do, the ping utility will show the address you have set up with Host Name commander, instead of real ip address.

To run the ping utility, click on the windows start button, and choose run from the start menu. If you use windows 95,98,ME, enter 'command'(without ') as the command line to run. If you use windows 2000, NT , Xp or any advanced version enter 'cmd'(again without '). Click OK and the command prompt window should appear on the screen.

Now enter the word 'ping'(without ') followed by a space, followed by the host name you want to determine the ip address of, and press enter.

The picture shows the ip address of www.google.com that is 74.125.236.147

Well here is a way to do that. I will show you how to make a password protected folder in windows xp, vista and 7. Following is the step by step procedure to create a password protected folder:

1. Create a new folder(right click -> new -> folder) and give it any name of your choice.

2. Now place all the important files, documents or any other folder in this folder that you want to password protect.
3. Now right click on this folder(xyz) and select the option send to -> Compressed(zipped) folder.


NOTE:If you don't put any files in this folder and try to create the folder password protected than it will show an error because at least one file must be added into the folder.


4. Now a new compressed zip folder gets created next to the folder (xyz) with the same name.
5. Double click on this compressed folder and you should see your original folder (xyz) there.
6. Now go to the file menu and select the option Add a password i.e:file -> add a password.


You will get small popup window here. There you can set your desired password. Once the password is set, it will ask for the password every time it is opened. Thus you have now created a password protected folder.


Now let's see how to make it invisible:


1. Right click on this password protected folder and click properties.
2. At the bottom select the option hidden and press OK. Now your folder gets invisible.


In order to unhide this folder go to
My Computer -> tools -> folder options. Switch to view tab, scroll down and under hidden files and folders you'll see the following two options:

• Do not show hidden files and folders.
• Show hidden files and folder.

Here you select the second option and press OK. Now the invisible folder becomes visible in its location. To access it you need password.That's all done.
